The Central City Revitalization Panel (CCRP) meets to discuss improvements and preservation within the central city boundaries of the City of Rocky Mount. The CCRP is also the governing body responsible for creating and overseeing the committees necessary to implement the Downtown Rocky Mount work plan, which is updated annually.
The legislative body of the City of Rocky Mount’s Downtown Development efforts is comprised of a Chairman and a thirteen-member Panel. The CCRP meets on the first Thursday each month at 8:30 a.m. These meetings are held in the Committee room on the Third Floor of the Municipal Administrative Complex, in Downtown Rocky Mount.

NC Main Street Program
The Main Street Program is a National Trust for Historic Preservation initiative created to revitalize downtown districts by combining historic preservation, downtown design, promotional events, business recruitment, and community involvement. Downtown Rocky Mount has been a participant in the program for several decades, and uses the technical assistance, training and development strategies provided through the Main Street Program to facilitate a vibrant, positive image that will encourage investors, visitors, consumers, and local residents to live, work, play, shop, and celebrate downtown.
